Ministry Purpose

Our purpose is to create a symphony of praise to Our Heavenly Father. We desire to bring all voices and instruments together as if we are
ONE VOICE before the Lord.

Worship Formats

We offer two very distinct styles of worship every Sunday morning to appeal to your preference. Our 8:30 am service features a blended service primarily comprised of classic hymns and choruses sung in 4-part harmony, adding richness and life to each song. Our early service also features the Celebration Choir, made up of 65 voices dedicated to communicating God's love through song. Our choir is directed by the Worship Pastor, Jo Ann James who has been ministering at CLC since 1981.

Our 11:00 am service features a contemporary service featuring the latest praise songs of Christian contemporary music. It is a high energy service, celebrating the freedom we have in Jesus Christ and expressing heartfelt appreciation for the grace He has provided.

Celebration Choir

We have 65 people in our Celebration Choir. . .but there's ALWAYS room for more! Our immediate goal is to reach 100 voices (then 200, etc.). Our choir ministers primarily during our 8:30am service and is featured in our major seasonal musical/drama productions. Rehearsals are at 7:00 pm every Wednesday. This is the core of our ministry and your opportunity to make a difference. If you have a servant's heart to sing praise unto the Lord, and are willing to make a commitment to this growing ministry, please contact Pastor Jo Ann James.

Worship Teams

We have two worship teams for our two distinct styles of worship. As a general rule, being in the Celebration Choir is a prerequisite for joining a worship team. If you have a strong voice and a passion to worship God and lead others by example into His presence, please contact Pastor Jo Ann.

Worhip Bands/Orchestra

We have two live worship bands to go along with our worship teams. If you play ANY kind of instrument, there are opportunities available in both services. If you have a servant's heart and are a skilled musician, please contact Pastor Jo Ann.

Special Music

Virtually every Sunday morning and during our production seasons, we seek out soloists and small groups to minister in song with special music. This is not for someone who desires to "perform", but only for those sensitive to the Spirit's guidance and desiring to do His will in ministry and song. If you have that special gift, please contact Pastor Jo Ann James.

We Have FUN Too !!!

We are so much more than just working hard and doing ministry. We are a family! Every month, we share a time of friends, food and fun. We call them "Choir Socials", and believe me. . .the emphasis is on SOCIAL! We not only want you to grow with us spiritually, we want to have fun and get to know you -- we want you to be a part of our family! We also feature Ladies Night Out, house boat trips, swimming parties and other fun stuff.

A Note From Pastor Jo Ann

My passion is to prepare an atmosphere of worship that ushers people into the presence of God. Worship should flow spontaneously as the Holy Spirit moves. As we worship Him, the anointing of the Spirit is released, allowing broken hearts to be mended and draws the spiritually blind to have their own experience with Jesus, releasing a spirit of joy and freedom! Music gives comfort and hope, calming the troubled soul. How wonderful it is to exalt the incredible name of Jesus Christ and to welcome God's presence! If you have a heart for God, a desire to worship Him with everything within you, and can sing or play an instrument, I invite you to join us!
